Molecular tests for Food Safety, Authenticity and Traceability

There is an increasing interest in all food related issues from sourcing of healthy uncontaminated produce to the nutritional value. Our food authenticity suite of molecular assays identifies the possible presence of food contaminants and illegal substitutions.

Advanced Molecular Systems scientists have developed detection assays for foodborne bacteria and fungi and for food verification processes and composition. These tests enable monitoring and control all aspects of food processing thus enabling compliance with current international legislation.

Examples of assays developed, include those to identify bacterial species such as Salmonella, Camplylobacter, Listeria and fungal contaminants such as Aspergillus species. The tests are designed to perform rapidly, generating specific and sensitive results.
